Sick Week
We have had the flu at our house for the past nine days - and counting. We have one who is feeling better but still has the nagging cough that seems to last forever. I didn't realize until now that the flu is a respiratory sickness. What people called the stomach flu isn't even the same thing. The real flu is 7-10 days of feeling miserable with fever, chills, cough, congestion, body aches, headache, etc. That is what we have had. I have been feeling very exhausted trying to take care of the constant needs of four sick kids. It is so draining! Last night looked as though it would be a long sleepless night with the baby, and I was at the very end of my emotional rope!! After pleading with Heavenly Father for help, the baby finally settled down and had a normal night's sleep. It has been a little easier to face today after having such a blessing. I am grateful for prayer!

Breanna's Birthday
Emily's Birthday
My Grandmother's Funeral was on Emily's Birthday. We had to postpone her friend party, but after the funeral, my family came over to our house and we had a chance to make cupcakes and sing "Happy Birthday." Chelsea (cousin) was nice enough to spend a little time and paint Emily's fingernails and toenails with cute little birthday cakes on them. Emily thought that was so fun and I thought it was really nice of Chelsea.
My sister and her family came here for the funeral. It was fun to have them over to our house with everyone else.

Christmas
We had a fun christmas. This is when we were at my mom's for her Christmas Party. We had a dinner and then santa came. After that, the kids dressed in costume and acted out the Nativity for us. It is always a lot of fun.

Double the Fun
Two weeks ago, my brother Lance and his family moved in with us. We went from a household of 6 to a household of 12. The kids range in age from 11 months to 17 years old. Never a dull moment. We are glad to have them with us for a while. It should be an adventure.
